About Us
William Laboratories was acquired by its current owners in 2001 and relocated to new headquarters in Enfield, Connecticut. Since that time, the company has been focused on its specialty in developing and marketing FDA-registered products in the area of temperature monitoring for blood products and other temperature-sensitive biologicals. Its products are based on non-reversible temperature indicators that are especially suited to monitoring of blood products, tissue, and vaccines in clinical laboratories. The Safe-T-Vue and TRANS-VUE brands are its premiere temperature monitoring products, with Safe-T-Vue having held a place in the market for almost two decades. The company has also continued to grow and expand its market reach outside of the US through a network of international distributors.
Founded in Edison, New Jersey, USA in 1976, William Laboratories was originally established as a nationwide supplier of portable, reusable emergency kits that allowed hospital, nursing home, and convalescent center personnel to store, secure and administer drugs when and where they were needed in the event of catastrophic emergencies. The company later expanded into a line of single use, disposable pinpoint applicators known as Triple Dye for use as an umbilical cord disinfectant on newborn babies. Triple Dye is still used in neonatal settings worldwide.
